When I was working on last weeks post 'My top 5 Eyeshadow Palette's' (you can read it HERE) I came across a few palettes I had either forgot about or just never use. Below are the top 5 in no particular order.
1. Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. Was Limited edition but rumours are circulating it may be re-released at Christmas. I will keep you updated on social media.
This palette was hyped up for months before its release. I was one of many who stayed up all night refreshing the Debenhams website on launch day waiting for it to appear (It didn't go up until lunchtime that day I was not happy!). I was so excited to receive it, but after that day haven't really looked at it again. I have used it once as part of an eye look but wasn't that impressed with it. Don't get me wrong its a nice palette with nice shades in it and certainly lives up to the quality you would expect from too Faced but its nothing special. I think this palette would be well suited to someone who likes a very natural eye look. It also would be perfect for bridal makeup. I have to also point out that the smell of this palette makes me feel sick! It has a very synthetic peach smell unlike the chocolate bar range that have cocoa powder in the shadows for a natural subtle scent.
2. Urban Decay Shadow box eyeshadow Palette. rrp £23 Available Here
This small little shadow box from Urban Decay was an unplanned purchase when I was visiting the UD counter in Glasgow. I have tried to use this palette but I find the shadows are hard to blend and have so much fall out they are a nightmare to work with. I like a palette that I can create a whole look with and don't need to grab any other palette's. Unfortunately that is not the case with this. I will continue to try using this palette. If I have no luck I will pass it on to a friend rather than it sit in a drawer unused.
3.Too Faced Le Grande Chateau. Was limited edition for Christmas 2015.
I will be honest I bought this little set from Too Faced because the packaging is just stunning. The set consists of a small house that inside includes 3 palettes that contain eyeshadows, blushers and bronzer. It also contained a sample size of the cult favourite Better than sex mascara which I love. I did try to use the palettes when it arrived but at the time I was still very new to makeup so didn't have a clue where to start. Since then it has just sat looking pretty in my bedroom. Since I started writing this post I have created a couple of nice looks using them, the shadows aren't the usual Too Faced quality but they are good enough and I particularly love the matte white shades in the palette's which are lovely as a base or for under the brow bone. I have left sitting on my vanity table so I remember and use it more often.
Too Faced are releasing a very similar product this year called 'Grande hotel Café' which was released on toofaced.com today and will soon be available in Debenhams in the Uk. I will keep you updated.

4.Urban Decay Moondust Palette. rrp £35 Available Here
I recently reviewed this Moondust palette (read review here) so I won't bore you repeating myself. All I will say is I am really disappointed in this palette and really feel I wasted my money. Saying that I just cannot bring myself to part with it.
5.Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon Eyeshadow Palette. rrp £39 available Here
I know there will be loads of people who think I am crazy including this palette in my regrets list as it is also a cult favourite along side the other two chocolate bar palettes from Too Faced. I feel I am contradicting myself saying how amazing Too Faced eyeshadows are yet this is the 3rd one mentioned in this post. Yet again there is absolutely nothing wrong with the chocolate bon bon palette, its just nothing special. Yes I can create a nice neutral eye look with it but if given the choice I would always choose my Makeup Geek shadows or Violet Voss Holy Grail palette instead. The only thing that makes this palette unique is the two pink shades but as pretty as they are they are just not for me.
Next week is my Birthday and I am so excited because I got to chose my own pressies and they are all makeup/skincare related yay! I am particularly excited for the Juvia's place palettes eeeeeek!
