I am sorry if you tried to read this post earlier today/last night I was an idiot and accidentally deleted it so have had to start from scratch. (Yes I am an idiot!)
I have been working on this post for a few weeks but was struggling to decide which palettes to include. I decide after reading Holly's (from Hollysbeautybox.co.uk) Favourite Palettes post (you can read it Here) it was time I made my decision and shared my thoughts with you guys.
I will be honest Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness! I love finding one that you can create loads of different looks with. Below I have talked about my top 5.
***I apologise in advance that all my favourites are high end prices but I have to mention that I received the Morphe 35O this week and instantly fell in love ❤️ I would highly recommend you get your hands on it when it is restocked.***
Although I don't use this palette too often when I do I am reminded why it is one of my favourites. This palette is perfect for people who love pink, gold and rose gold shades. All the shadows in this palette are very high standard as you would expect from Urban Decay and they compliment each other beautifully. The palette can be used to create a natural daytime look or a more glam evening look and would be perfect for bridal makeup.
4. Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow palette. Was limited edition so not available in stores now but available on Ebay Here
Its a shame this palette was limited edition because it is one of my most used and reliable. When I want a quick natural day time look I grab this palette knowing it will have all the shades I need and they will blend seamlessly in no time at all. I haven't used the shades Marajuku (pink shade) or Danger (blue shade) but both would work lovely as a pop of colour in a more neutral look. The packaging of this palette is another reason why it is one of my favourites. It is so luxurious yet so compact making it easy for travel. This Mac palette is ideal for beginners in makeup. It contains all the shades you need to create numerous different looks. They all work beautifully together to create a sultry sexy eye look that you can keep all Matte or add a touch of shimmer depending on your preference. The best thing about this Mac palette is the shades in it compliment any eye colour. This palette is ideal for travelling and with Mac's new pricing for their eyeshadows this is a steal at £25. I would highly recommend picking this up!
The first thing I will say about this palette is yes, I know its not for everyone! My friend told me it looked like children's face paints when I bought it (I haven't spoken to her since lol). Trust me when you see how beautiful these shadows are in person you can't help but fall in love with it. As a lover of bright, bold eye looks I own many bright eyeshadow palettes/singles and none of them have the colour payoff these shadows do. Most will look very pigmented and bright in the pan but when you apply to the lid they seem to disappear... Not with these shadows! Even without primer these shadows are bright and blend beautifully. I love mixing different colours to create bold eye looks. If you love a bit of colour but don't feel brave enough for a bright bold eye look, its so easy to blend one of the colours onto your lower lash line for a subtle touch of colour. I Highly recommend adding it to your collection.
Where do I start with this palette?.... It is my baby ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love it so much. If I could only have one palette for the rest of my life I would choose this one. All the shadows are the highest quality I have ever worked with! They have amazing pigmentation, feel like butter when you swatch and blend like a dream. You can create very minimal, natural looks or full on smokey eyes so easily with this palette. The shadows Wine 'N' Dine and Cranberry Splash I could wear everyday they are so beautiful. I couldn't recommend this palette more! It can be a bit of a pain to get a hold of as it sells out so quickly every time it restocks but it is well worth it.
Whilst looking through my palettes picking my favourites I found a few I had forgot about or just never use, so look out for my 'Top 5 eyeshadow Palette regrets' next week.
What are your Favourite eye shadow palettes? Id love to find a good quality drug store palette so let me know if you have any suggestions.
